Glebe is a rising London-based jazz ensemble blending rich improvisation with the melodic storytelling of popular song. Formed by guitarist Kieran Gunter and pianist / keyboardist Chris Bland, the band has expanded to include some of the UK’s finest jazz musicians.

The foundations of Glebe were laid at Leeds College of Music, where Kieran and Chris first crossed paths. Their musician-packed flat above a well-loved chip shop on Glebe Place became a hub for all-night jam sessions, leading to a shared artistic vision. Influenced by Kenny Wheeler, Maria Schneider, Shai Maestro, The Impossible Gentlemen, The Pat Metheny Group, and Brazilian greats, the band fuses the sophistication of jazz with captivating melodic narratives.

Launched at The Crazy Coqs, London earlier this year, their well-reviewed debut album ‘Gaudi’ showcases their superb writing, arranging and production and also features the sublime vocals of Tara Minton who we’re delighted will be joining the band onstage this evening.

If you’re curious to hear what’s in store, the album is available to stream or download at Bandcamp.
